We arrive late evening in Moscow, Alitalia flight from Milan Malpensa. We are here to work.
There is still snow on the ground and so cold. Accommodation in this beautiful 5 star hotel (the Hotel Mezhdurarodnaya) overlooking the Moskva River beside all'Expocenter, the most majestic and immense reception I've ever seen! The ancient and impressive clock located right on the ground floor immediately strikes us, lies on a layer of fabric, as if suspended in time and empty ...

The next day, some tourists' hurry, we opt for the Red Square, all in meters. Personally I can not decipher all the Cyrillic characters of the Russian language that identifies the station name but two gentlemen are very clever so we also confident in the subsoil of the city. And 'here you can admire the splendid monuments of architecture, paintings and sculptures in marble, granite, lighting that makes this subway one of the most original artistic heritages of the world.

We come to Red Square, a limitless expanse opens our eyes, just some group of local tourists scattered like ants are lost ... his name is derived from the Russian word "Krasnaya" which means both "red" or "beautiful "... the colorful and picturesque Cathedral of St. Basil the backdrop, sets it apart ... built in 1556 by Tsar Ivan the Terrible to commemorate his victory over the Tartars and the conquest of new territories. A visit inside is a must to admire the artistic treasures jealously guards. In front of the cathedral is the monument to national heroes Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pohzharsky, who in 1612 drove out the invaders from Moscow in Poland.

The sides of the square stand the imposing walls of the Kremlin (the Russian Kreml, "Fortress") a fortified wall of triangular plan, the institutional home of the Russian government. Note the most famous monument of the Soviet period, constructed of brown granite in the form of a pyramid with stairs, the mausoleum of Lenin.

Our cultural tour is already over .... unfortunately we are a bit 'numb from the cold, we return to the hotel.

On the way we see that all women indiscriminately, keeping up a bunch of flowers ... tomorrow does not work here in Moscow, we celebrate Women's Day, each man gives flowers, is "highly respected custom," explains Russian women ... "because in Italy is not it?" ask us curious ....
